Christoph BernewitzChristoph Bernewitz is a german guitarist, composer and producer who is most known for his work with the multiple award-winning german Band „Clueso“,  which is currently taking a break.

He works in different genres crossing pop, rock and jazz. Christoph had the pleasure to work with different artists such as Clueso, Wolfgang Niedecken, Udo Lindenberg, Ingo Pohlmann, Anna F., Marcus Wiebusch, Bosse, BOY, Alex Deutsch, Peter Herbert, Matthieu Michel, Matthias Schweighöfer, Martin Gallop, Per Anders, Cäthe, Fins, Scooter, Jan Plewka as well as writing music for theater productions and his own trio.

Christoph lives in Berlin.

Anna Bolz (GER)

Anna BolzAnna (*1985 in Duesseldorf) is a German singer and songwriter located in Berlin. She studied jazz singing with Céline Rudolph at the Dresden Conservatory and is one of the founders of OFFTRACKS, a music and arts festival which took place in Dresden 2012. In 2013 Anna worked within a free jazz project called STUTTER. The group concentrated on language in musical context and improvisation. Her narrative style of singing is also an important component of her singer- songwriter duo MISS O’PAQUE. In August 2015 they released their debut album „The Small Things“.

Anna F.

Anna F. (* 18 December 1985) is an austrian Singer/Songwriter combining Pop, Rock, Folk and electronic beats. She gained attention in 2009 when she published her song „Time stands still“ on Myspace and supported Lenny Kravitz on his European Tour.

Her 2010 debut album „…for Real“ was awarded with the Austrian Amadeus Award in the categories „Rock/Pop“ and „Album of the year“. Futhermore she released the albums „Live from the Mushroom“ (2011) and „King in the Mirror“ (2014) which was placed in the german, austrian, swiss and italian album charts and made a splash with the single „DNA“. Anna could also be seen in the ARTE production „On Jack´s Road“.

In fall 2016 Anna will release a new record in collaboration with the french singer and producer Benjamin Biolay.

Johannes Gerstengabe (GER)

Johannes GerstengabeJohannes Gerstengarbe (*1982 in Halle/Saale) studied music in Dresden and Nashville, TN. He is a freelancing musician/producer/teacher and runs the Ballroom Studios where he produces albums and a video series of live performances called the Ballroom Sessions. His producing credits include CJ RAMONE, BELA B and TEESY. As a studio musician he played for diverse artists such as THE BASEBALLS and DIE PRINZEN. He lives in Dresden and teaches arrangement at the conservatory.

Billy Goodman (USA)

Billy GoodmanBilly Goodman is a unique singer-songwriter and slide guitarist. He comes from the USA where he performed for over a decade with the Goodman Brothers featuring Steve Kimock. Also to his credit are his slide playing and touring with Jorma Kaukonen (Jefferson Airplane, Electric Hot Tuna), Dave Mason (Traffic) and bass playing as a road crew member for Grace Slick and Starship. Together with his brother Frank he received a four star review in the German Rolling Stone for the 1995 Goodman Brothers release Crooked Smile, and his 1998 solo debut Walk the Street Alone was equally well-received in Europe. Billy currently resides in Berlin and continues the tradition of folk and blues. His bottleneck slide guitar, original songs and expressive singing are his trademark. He has been called „the missing link between Paul Simon and Muddy Waters“ and has opened shows for such greats as Van Morrison, David Lindley, Leon Russell, Chris Whitley, John Hammond, Tom Paxton and many others.

Freddy HauFreddy Hau was born in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Since 2010 he is living and working in Berlin. During his work with the musical WeWillRockYou he was performing with Brian May of Queen in 2010. He is member of the german band LUXUSLÄRM, the last album hit number 4 in the german charts. Currently he is working on his solo project HAU NOW which will release its debut by the end of 2015.

Oliver Hofer (GER)

Oliver HoferOliver Hofer is a german bassist, producer and music arranger. He moved to the U.S. in 1999 where he worked with notable artist such as Brian May, Roger Taylor, Tony Visconti, Carlos Atomar, Tom Scott, Antonio Banderas and many more. Since 2005 he plays with the BLUE MAN GROUP with whom he toured Europe and today he is a steady musician with BMG in New York City. Furthermore he is a popular co-producer and music arranger in the New York Indie and Rock scene.

Since 2014 he plays bass for Latin Grammy winning and World Music Grammy Nominee HERAN ROMERO.

Oliver lives in New York.

Lars Kutschke (GER)

Lars KutschkeLars Kutschke is a Dresden-based guitar player and composer between R&B, Blues, Jazz and Rock. As guitarist and musical director for Michigan-based singer Sharrie Williams he performed in 40 countries on 4 continents since 2005. He produced her albums “Here To Stay” and “Out Of The Dark”. Both were nominated for the American BMA, the latter one was awarded “Blues Album Of The Year” in 2012 by the French Academie Du Jazz.
With his Organ Trio Soundsville (featuring Italian Blues/Jazz masters Alberto Marsico and Gio Rossi) he recorded two albums and played clubs and festivals all over Europe. Besides pursuing his own projects he has toured and/or recorded with Bettye Lavette, Alex Schultz, J.C. Doo-Kingue, Shakura S‘Aida, Cuba Nova and German artists Sido, Günther Fischer, Pascal Von Wroblewsky, Die Zöllner & Keimzeit.

Jeff Lang (AUS)

Jeff LangJeff Lang is an Australian songwriter, singer and slide guitarist, a leading performer in the Australian roots music scene and purveyor of „disturbed folk“ music. He is the only artist with whom Chris Whitley made a collaborative album during his lifetime, their „Dislocation Blues“ recording being released in 2006. He has released 15 albums in the last 20 years, winning ARIA awards (Australia’s equivalent of a Grammy) for for his 2012 solo album „Carried In Mind“ (Best Blues and Roots album), his 2002 collaboration with Bob Brozman „Rolling Through This World“ (Best blues and Roots album), the album Djan Djan (Best World Music album 2011).

Christoph LübeckChristopher Luebeck (*1988 in Dresden, Germany) is a german jazz pianist who studied at the Dresden conservatory „Carl-Maria von Weber“ and is active collaborator of the local jazz scene. He plays with the jazz collective MONDAY NIGHT LONG ISLAND ICE TEA JAZZ FANATICS ORCHESTRA and his contemporary jazz trio NEO.

Christopher Luebeck lives in Dresden and teaches at the conservatory.

Matthias MachtMatthias Macht (*1969 in Dresden) is a german drummer who studied with Günther „Baby“ Sommer and who played with numerous bands, such as PAWELLA ICE, SAND, TIJUANA MON AMOUR BROADCASTING INC.. He is a steady drummer with the legendary Dresden Jazz collective MONDAY NIGHT LONG ISLAND ICE TEA JAZZ FANATICS ORCHESTRA and PLACEBO FLAMINGO and between 2001 and 2005 he toured and recorded with Chris Whitley. He can be heard on „Hotel Vast Horzon“.

Skyler Maxey-Wert (USA)

Skyler Maxey-WertSkyler Maxey-Wert (*January 5th 1996, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania) is an american dancer and singer. At age thirteen he went to the JKO School of American Ballet Theatre New York City and 4 years later joined the American Ballet Theatre Studio Company. In 2014 he came to Dresden, Germany where he started to work in the Semper Opera Ballet. In Dresden he was introduced to Adrian Roebisch who invited him to work on „In The Curved Air“ after he heard him sing.

Tim performed as a singer or drummer in the studio or live with numerous german acts, such as KONSTANTIN WECKER, UDO LINDENBERG, GISBERT ZU KNYPHAUSEN, HUNDREDS, INA MUELLER as well as international artists, such as GLEN HANSARD, JOAN BAEZ, BLUE MAN GROUP, PATTIE SMITH & KURT ROSENWINKEL, just to name a few.

Conny Ochs (GER)

Conny OchsConny Ochs was born in1979 in Halle/Saale, Germany. He was singer with the bands ZOMBIEJOE, Z- JOE AND THE DUSTBOWLERS and he is the front man of BABY UNIVERSAL. Since 2008 he also works as a solo artist (solo debut „RAW LOVE SONGS“ in 2011, „BLACK HAPPY“ in 2013) and has had collaborations with SMALL JACKETS, LU SILVER, COR AND ALICE TAMBOURINE LOVER. In 2011 he released the albums „Lattitudes“ and „Heavy Kingdom“ with OBSESSED/ ST. VITUS front man WINO. Conny Ochs is what you would call a „troubadour“: he lives on the road without an actual residence. He currently has his home base in Rimini/ Italy where his manager and girlfriend lives.

Miles Perkin (CAN)

Miles PerkinComing from Manitoba Canada, the land of the big sky and open plains, Miles Perkin is a musician whose musical mind is as open as the landscape that raised him. He is a multi-instrumentalist who’s primary instrument is the up-standing bass, but also plays guitars, pedal steel, drums/ percussion and sings. As a bassist, he has supported artists such as the late Lhasa de Sela and The Barr Brothers, and he has been active in experimental and jazz music for more than 15 years playing with artists such as french pianist Benoit Delbecq.

There are 4 albums of instrumental music released under his name as a soloist, with his quartet and larger ensembles. He has been writing songs for most of his life, but only recently has started singing and recording them. His Berlin based band ‘Coal Oven’ will release their first album in Spring 2016, and his self-titled debut as a songwriter is scheduled for release late 2016 early 2017. As a bassist, Miles can be heard on over 30 other albums. He is also a frequent creator of music for Theater, Dance and Film. Miles Perkin plays and endorses Pirastro double bass strings.

He currently lives in Berlin.

Steffen Roth (GER)

Steffen RothSteffen Roth is a Dresden based drummer and a well known figure in the eastern German improvised-music scene. Collaborating with Michal Skulski (Sax) and Alwin Weber (circuit bending electronics) as well the band PALAWA he has been touring Europe, thrilling audiences and coaxing sounds you wouldn’t expect from a drum kit.

Roth played the x-Jazz Festival Berlin, Überjazz Festival Hamburg, Jazzfest Bonn, Jazz-Art Festival Schwaebisch Hall, Døla Jazz [Lillehammer] and Jazzahead [Bremen] and has recently released a first CD on Blue-Note Records with the Julia Kadel Trio – right away nominated for the Echo Jazz Award as Best Newcomer.

In 2014 he wrote the soundtrack for Manuel Frolik’s The Wanderer – a film now part of the „Staatlichen Kunstsammlung Dresden“.

In 2015 he spent some time in New York City, playing with the likes of Dave Taylor [trombone] and Jay Rozen [tuba], a collaboration that let to the Studio Session Xenophobia – Roth’s reaction to rising anti-islamic trends not only in his German hometown.

In Dresden Roth founded the „Jazzkollektiv“ and hosts the HEIMklang radio-sessions – both initiatives to foster improvised music.

Steffen Roth lives in Leipzig and holds a master-class scholarship.

Adrian Roebisch (GER)

Adrian RöbischAdrian Roebisch (*5 November 1988 in Dresden, Germany) is a German guitarist and songwriter. At the age of six he fell for the blues and ever since traced it in all its facets. He played over 500 shows since his early teens with various bands, such as Hipoint, Big Dipper, Jellycreamclub, Bars&Strangers and his current major band Ansa.  After a three months stay in New Orleans he spent busking and attending sessions and concerts, he decided to finally let go of everything else and put the guitar in the focus of all his activities.

Adrian currently commutes between Dresden, Vienna and Berlin.

In January 2015 he developed and initiated „In The Curved Air“.

Heiko Hesh Schramm (GER)

Heiko Hesh SchrammHeiko „Hesh“ Schramm (*8 june 1971) is a Dresden-based musician, composer and writer and a constant in the scene with numerous projects, such as BLENDERMAN, TIJUANA MON AMOUR BOADCASTING INC., GAFFA, FREUNDE DER ITALIENISCHEN OPER and NEED A NEW DRUG. In 2001 he was introduced to Chris Whitley who was looking for a new bass player at that time. They became friends and to the last they toured together. Heiko Schramm can be heard on Whitleys „Hotel Vast Horizon“ (2003), „Soft Dangerous Shores“ (2004), „Reiter In“ (2005) and on the O.S.T. to „Pigs will Fly“ (2003).

Heiko contributed „Comin‘ Home“ – a song that he wrote and that became the final track of „Reiter In“. The song was newly recorded by Schramm, Johannes Gerstengabe on guitar and Matthias Macht on drums.

He studied jazz at Dresden music conservatoty „Carl- Maria von Weber“ and he over the years became a vivid figure in the german scene, mostly playing bass for such different acts as Martin Goldenbaum, Ansa, Megaloh and Yellow Cab and touring Europe and South America.
